Layer 3

Changes in elevation impact the water and nutrient holding capacity of the soil. Lower elevations typically contain higher nutrient levels (due to run off from higher elevations), but provide lower yield due to excess water. In order to create the most accurate zone maps, we only collect the most accurate information available. We are able to record the slightest changes in elevation by using sub-inch RTK elevation technology. After collecting the data we create a 3D map of your field allowing analysis from all angles. This provides a better understanding of how your field sheds and collects water during rainfall.
